Eastman T60/TV Semi-Hollow - Sunburst

from archived Sweetwater listing:

Eastman’s Semi-hollow Salute to the Early 1960s

Marking a halfway point between Eastman’s T59 and T64 models, the Eastman T60/TV beams with a bold vintage flair. This striking semi-hollow’s laminated maple top, back, and sides supply a rich and airy resonance, which ideally balances out the midrange snarl of its dual Lollar Dog Ear P-90 pickups. These boutique-grade-single coils capture the P-90’s legendary versatility and attitude right down to a T, allowing you to take on everything from pristine jazz lines to biting blues licks to all-out rock ’n’ roll fury. Next, the maple neck is sure to please both vintage fanatics and modern players alike with its comfortable Traditional Even C carve and 12-inch-radius ebony fingerboard. Plus, the Eastman T60/TV comes equipped with a high-end array of aged Gotoh hardware, including a TOM-style bridge and SD90 tuners. Boasting vintage style and sound with all the performance of a modern Eastman instrument, the T60/TV is a superb semi-hollow solution for guitarists of all stripes.

Bright and clear with a low-profile feel

The T60/TV combines a charismatic and articulate maple top with a back and sides of laminated maple to match, presenting a bright and forward tonewood combination that highlights every note with vivid clarity. A double-cut body shape enables effortless control of every fret, and its ultra-narrow body profile remains maneuverable and provides unobtrusive access for all strumming arms. Its Traditional Even C-profile neck, also of maple, prolongs its natural vividity and ease of command with a universally comfortable grip in hand, complemented by a 22-fret ebony fingerboard that’s radiused to a smooth playing 12 inches and primed for pleasurable playability. All this to say? Just as the T60/TV puts the music first with its natural tone, it will put you first in terms of comfort with its exquisite playing feel.

A pair of Lollar Dogear P-90s

The T60/TV comes packed with impressively characterful sonics! Armed with a pair of Lollar Dogear P-90 single-coil pickups, the plugged-in performance of this axe is a delightful blend of unique tonality and utilitarian applicability. Characterized by its warm response and prominent midrange, you can riff, solo, and chord with the clarity of those classic, hefty ’50s single-coils. As a result, these P-90s open the door to a versatile range of genres, handling fluttery alternative patterns, heavier garage-esque progressions, and punchy blues-style solo lines with equal appeal. And to level a sonic response that really speaks your language, its onboard per-pickup Tone and Volume knobs provide further detailing.

Eastman Guitars: thinking inside the box

Many know the Eastman Music Company as a trusted name in the realm of band and orchestra instruments. Fortunately for all guitar lovers, Eastman Guitars has attained a similar stature with its steadfast dedication to the guitar-building process. Eastman founder Qian Ni grew his business from its humble origins in the back of his car to its status as a burgeoning, reputable company. Today, Eastman is also the proud owner of Bourgeois Guitars — as a matter of fact, Eastman’s high-end guitars are voiced by hand by luthiers trained under the multitalented Dana Bourgeois. True to Ni’s vision, Eastman Guitars meticulously approaches each instrument, backing them with a lifetime warranty. From hand-scalloped bracing to fine tonewoods to precision tap tuning, an Eastman guitar is a feature-rich instrument that will grow with you musically for years to come!
