Vintage-style Jazz Bass from Fender
First introduced in 1960, the Fender Jazz Bass has made a name over the decades as one of the most played and recorded instruments in musical history. True to the original, the American Original '60s Jazz Bass picks up where the original left off and offers added modern features that move it into the next generation. With its offset waist and fast-action '60s neck, this J Bass is incredibly comfortable to play and lets you pull off extremely tight runs and grooves with ease. It also provides you with the fat, rounded sound you can only get from a pair of traditional Fender Pure Vintage '64 single-coil pickups.

These Pure Vintage ’64 Jazz Bass single-coil pickups are truly period-correct with enamel-coated coil, cloth-covered output wires, and Alnico 5 magnets. The sound these pickups put out ranges from a deep growl to a punchy midrange — a beautiful sonic combination that is the foundation of Fender Jazz Bass tone. This bass is in Very Good "Player Grade" condition, showing signs of light-to-moderate wear and careful storage. There are several minor dents and scratches along the edges of the body. There are noticeable chips in the finish on the inside of the treble-side horn and along the edge of the body near the jack area. There are minor dents at the tip of the headstock which were difficult to capture in photographs. The pickguard and playing area shows some scratches and pickwear. There are extra holes in the pickguard where a thumbrest was previously installed. A vintage-style Fender bridge cover is currently installed and a vintage-style chrome pickup cover is included in this package but was never installed on the instrument.
