Fender Twin Reverb Head Conversion Late 1960's-Early/Mid 1970's - White Vinyl
Tinkering has always been common practice in the world of amplifiers. In that regard, this Silverface Twin has undergone the ultimate facelift. Formerly a large and unruly combo amp, this Twin is now a slightly-more-compact head unit, ready to power the cabinet of your choosing. This was apparently a common practice with the Twin Reverbs of this era, most notably utilized for its preamp - vertically- by the likes of Jerry Garcia. A long, long time ago this Twin amp was rehoused into a oversized enclosure and clad in fashionable white vinyl to stand out on any stage, maybe even to match a white speaker cabinet! For a solid, clean, classic Fender tone with oodles of headroom, this vintage Fender Twin Reverb is an irresistible contender.

This tube head is in Good "Player Grade condition, showing signs of moderate-to-heavy use and careful storage. According to its owner, this head was last serviced in 2010 by Torres Engineering for replaced filter caps, replaced On-Off switches, and a bias adjustment. The white vinyl covering shows scuffs, scratches, and stains from many years of enjoyment. It is very possible that the grille cloth on this head unit was also transplanted from the original combo amp. This amp has mismatched tubes from many years of maintenance: 3x vintage Fender 6L6GC tubes, 1x modern Tube Amp Doctor 6L6GC power tube, 1x modern Mesa Boogie 12AT7, 2x vintage RCA 7025, 1x vintage RCA 12AX7/ECC83, 1x vintage 12AT7, and 1x unmarked 5751 tube. The reverb tank functions well, however we do not have a footswitch in order to test the tremolo functionality. Due to the scarcity, weight, and fragile nature of this amp, we will not be considering this unit for shipping. This unit has been tested to the best of our ability and is being sold AS-IS.
