Sporting a sleekly contoured African mahogany body, a gorgeous flamed maple top, a rock-solid 5-piece panga panga/purpleheart bolt-on neck, and a flamed maple fingerboard, the SR Premium 4-string is a boutique-quality instrument with impeccable playability. That quality is borne out of its pair of aggressive Nordstrand Big Break pickups, which deliver massive, roaring tone infused with monumental sustain. The 5-piece neck is titanium reinforced with KTS titanium rods, with premium tuners on one end and a Mono-rail bridge at the other. Ibanez's Custom Electronics 3-band EQ completes the setup.

To give the SR Premium 4-string its powerful sonic foundation, Ibanez equipped it with a pair of Nordstrand Big Break pickups. In addition, you have the potent sound-shaping capabilities of Ibanez’s Custom Electronics 3-band EQ. The EQ gives you control over boost/cut for bass, mid, and high frequencies, plus a mid-frequency switch to fine-tune your midrange and an EQ bypass. Mono-rail bridge enhances definition and sustain
Ibanez specified the innovative Mono-rail V MR5S bridge for the SR Premium 4-string. Unlike single-body bridges, each Mono-rail saddle is completely separate from the others. This configuration does two things for you. First, since they aren’t connected, the saddles create minimal sympathetic vibration, preventing unused strings from ringing. Second, each saddle is double anchored, allowing energy to transfer efficiently between the string and the body. The result is astonishing clarity, note definition, and sustain.
