The UB805 upright bass from Ibanez allows for a smooth transition from a standard bass guitar to an upright with a familiar 34" scale length. Featuring a compact maple body designed to balance from and function, the UB805 bass provides an outstanding visual as well as incredible playability. Despite its body size, the UB does not sacrifice acoustic tone, projecting a robust natural sound. A 5-piece maple/walnut neck provide tonal clarity and attack while a jatoba fretboard produces a rich mid-range and crispy high-end. Additional features include an AeroSilk piezo pickup, a piezo active tone control, a TAMA Roadpro stand and a custom AeroSilk MR5 bridge with unique saddles designed to work in concert with the piezo pickups to enhance the acoustic "upright" quality of the tone. A gig bag is included for storage and transportation.
