Les Paul Classic Antique Guitar of the Week #2 GOTW 2007 - Fireburst
In 2007, Gibson released a limited-run Guitar-Of-The-Week series with a total of 47 different guitars. This instrument is GOTW #2, known as the Gibson Les Paul Classic Antique with Fireburst finish. This guitar is built to Les Paul Classic specs with the addition of a cream binding around the headstock and a "Crown" inlay for the "Antique" vibe. This release features Gibson's '57 Classic and '57 Plus pickups with the standard 2 volume/ 2tone layout and 3-way selector. The mahogany neck features a "60's" profile with Rosewood fingerboard and pearloid trapezoid inlays.
This guitar is in Very Good "Player grade" condition, showing signs of moderate use and careful storage. The neck tone knob is broken and included in the case. The "Classic" truss rod cover has been replaced with a blank cover. there are light finish scratches on the top and some more noticeable light dents near the bridge and pickups on the bass side. The gloss black reverse and sides shows some light scratches, light belt worming, and some minor dents. There is a scuff on the end of the headstock and a chip on the treble side tip. The face of the headstock shoes some scratches that are most evident when held to the light. The reverse of the neck has some light scratches/impressions at the 9th fret and at the first fret on the bass side, neither of which effect playability. This package includes the original hard case and pre-pack checklist.
