Martin B-40 Acoustic 4-String Bass - 1993
From original Martin advertising:
The First-ever Acoustic Bass Guitars from C.F. Martin
Let 'em take the lead, you'd rather keep the bass line all to yourself. Pure and simple. Clear and strong.
The deep, booming sounds from a Martin Acoustic Bass reach the folks in the back row without high-voltage amplification. Smaller than you'd expect for such a powerful instrument, each hand-crafted Martin bass is designed with playability in mind. (They're the same size as our Jumbo M series.)
Who knows? You might be asked to play the melody more often with a note-popping Martin Acoustic Bass

This bass is in Excellent-to-Very Good condition, showing signs of moderate use and careful storage. Upon arrival at our shop, the rear of the bridge was slightly lifting from the body and has since been re-glued and secured by our expert techs. The majority of the wear on this instrument is on the face of the body, with numerous instances of scratches and dents. The sides and back of the body show minor scratches and dents which are difficult to see unless held to the light. A previous owner drilled a hold for a strap button into the side of the instrument on the treble side, and this strap button has since been moved to a more-secure location on the treble side of the neck. There are minor-but-noticeable dents on the tip of the headstock. This package is complete with its original Martin hard case.
