PRS McCarty 594SC Singlecut Wood Library 2017
For your consideration, we present a more-than-exceptional example from Paul Reed Smith's Wood Library.
Someone checked all the boxes when they ordered this beauty. Or almost all of them. Short of this guitar having a piezo bridge -it doesn't- this McCarty 594SC features the best-of-the-best from the PRS parts bins and wood stash. The top is 2-piece quilted AAAAA Maple finished in high-gloss Yellow Tiger. The body is composed of nearly-seamless 3-piece Korina and the one-piece neck boasts the same exotic tonewood. Atop this very-blonde Korina neck, PRS is in top-form with a beautifully-figured single-bound Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard accented with pearl and abalone bird inlays. This one is quite the specimen considering the bones of the instrument alone, and PRS continues to exude excellence in the hardware and electronics departments. On this build, PRS utilizes their Phase III Locking Tuning Machines with contrasting gold buttons and matches the bridge hardware with PRS's two piece bridge system with brass studs, saddles, and adjustment wheels. For pickups, PRS installed a set of 58/15LT Humbuckers with nickel covers and gold screws and equipped the tone knobs for coil-tapping. As the song goes, "Who could ask for anything more?" This amazing showpiece could be your ultimate singlecut masterpiece today.
