Vega Tenor 4-String "Eddie Peabody Special" Circa 1930's
Made by Vega and developed and endorsed by legendary Banjo player Eddie Peabody this 4-String Tenor Banjo is an authentic piece of vintage Americana. This Banjo is tuned in Fifths (CGDA) which is often referred to as the "Plectrum Tuning". This tuning is perfect for strumming chords in the Trad. Jazz and Dixie Land Style. The serial # places its production year as somewhere between 1932-1950 and is in relatively good shape for its age. There are numerous dings and scratches as to be expected from a vintage instrument but nothing substantial enough to affect the playability of the instrument. As far as modifications go, the original tuners were replaced by Five Star Planetary Tuning Pegs and the original head was swapped out for a Calfskin banjo head. The instrument has been fully inspected by our world-class techs and is guaranteed to play and sound great!
