Edwards E-SA 335-style Semi-Hollow 2010 - Transparent Red
For your consideration, we present a rare Player's Gem from ESP.
Produced under the Japan-only Edwards namesake, the actual model of this scandalous semi-hollow is a mystery. According to our research, this example may be an ES-A-168 or some earlier variation of an Edwards Torrocco. Whatever the case, our detective internet research has not unearthed another model of Edwards with this same configuration in any finish. This guitar features a Maple top, back, & sides with a Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard. As far as we can surmise, the Seymour Duncan Pickups, wiring harness, and Bigsby vibrato tailpiece are original to this instrument. Sometime in its life, this instrument was upgraded with a Locking Roller Bridge from Stewart MacDonald and a set of locking tuning machines from Schaller for maximum tuning stability in any vibrato situation.
If you are reading this listing, you know that this Edwards is the REAL DEAL and by no means is this an inferior ES clone. Capture this forbidden fruit of an Edwards for your guitarsenal while it lasts!
Maple Top, Back, & Sides
Mahogany Neck
Rosewood Fingerboard
Single-ply Bound Body & Fingerboard
"C" Neck Shape"
Pearloid Block Inlays
Seymour Duncan Pickups (unmarked, presumably SH-15 Bridge & SH-2 Neck)
StewMac Locking Roller Bridge
Bigsby Vibrato Bridge
Schaller Locking Tuning Machines
24 3/4" Scale
12" Radius
1 11/16" Nut Width
This guitar is in Very Good condition, showing signs of moderate playwear, light modification, and careful storage. The locking roller bridge and locking tuning machines installed on this guitar are almost certainly aftermarket upgrades. This guitar came to us with an inferior and clearly-non-original pickguard which was removed and will be included in this package. There is a placeholder screw in place for the pickguard screw hole in the top and there is a vacant mounting hole on the side of the body. There are some light scratches and minor dents on the body and an area of minor belt worming on the reverse. The headstock bears some minor scratches on the face and some minor dents along its edge, with an area of finish loss on the treble side tip. The fretboard shows some light-to-moderate wear but we have been assured by our tech that this guitar is nowhere near in need of fret replacement or a fret level. This package is complete with a moderately-stickered ESP hard case. Should you require more photos of this instrument's condition, please reach out to us via Reverb or directly at the shop.
