Epiphone Sheraton II 2006 - 2007 - Natural + Gibson Upgrades
In a "desert-island" situation - if only able to choose ONE electric guitar- a player would be hard-pressed to not choose a most-versatile semi-hollow guitar, an axe flexible enough to explore the gamut of styles, from the jazziest of jazz to the doomiest of doom.
Enter, the Epiphone Sheraton II, a fully-appointed Semi-Hollow that won't bust your budget and has all the eyeball-appeal of a guitar twice-or-three-times the price.
This example was manufactured in 2006-2007, made in Indonesia. It features a 5-Piece Mahogany & Walnut set neck with Rosewood Fingerboard and Pearl-&-Abalone Inlays. The abalone carries through to the headstock, which bears the same treatment for the Epiphone Logo and the "Tree Of Life" ornamentation. The body is Laminated Maple and its multi-ply ivoroid binding flows around the pickguard, through the neck, and around the headstock. Single bound F-holes finish this body with a sense of elegance and add beautiful emphasis to the gloss natual finish. This Sheraton features mixed hardware in gold and in nickel. The original Tune-O-Matic Bridge and stop-tailpiece are gold. The nickel hardware is transplanted from a USA Gibson. The headstock features full-sized Grover Rotomatic tuning machines with Tulip buttons and the red tortoise pickguard bears a nickel bracket. The pickups are Gibson USA Burstbucker Pros with nickel covers and are backed by a set of upgraded Gibson pots, 3-way switch, and output jack. A wolf in sheep's clothing, this Sheraton packs a myriad of tone upgrades geared towards tonal excellence and high build quality.
This guitar is in Excellent condition, showing signs of light playwear, careful storage, and tasteful modification. The electronics compliment has been upgraded with Burstbucker Pro pickups and a full Gibson wiring harness. The stock tuners have been upgraded to Grover Rotomatics with Tulip buttons - most likely a transplant from a Les Paul. The top, sides, and reverse of the body bear light scratches and a few minor small dents that are only visible when held to the light. The pickguard shows some pickwear. The pickup covers and gold brodge hardware show some light tarnish from playwear and from age. The glossy face of the headstock shows some light scratches which are only noticeable when held to the light. This package is complete with an Epiphone hard case and the original set of Epiphone pickups.
