Keith Holland Custom S-ANS Convertible #1244 - Black-Over-Butterscotch
To be clear, there's no such thing as a "Swiss Army" guitar. No tool does every single job and no guitar will make every guitar sound of your dreams.
Enter the S-ANS Convertible.
On the surface -in it's current configuration - this S-ANS is a wonderfully aged "Double Fat" S-style. Dig deeper and you'll find that this is not your daddy's classic. Keith created a "Convertible" package with this example with a Dr-Jekyll/Mr.-Hyde secret. Unscrewing this pickguard reveals a quick-connect system that allows the user to choose a double humbucker "Double Fat Strat" layout -with a pair of Seymour Duncan SH-1 Humbuckers - or a classic three-single-coil treatment - with a set of handwound Chilltone Blues Royale Alnico III single coils. And Holland does not stop here with the innovations. This neck bears a modern compound radius - from 10" to 14" - with 22 narrow-tall 6105 frets. Also, each pickguard has additional surprises which are hallmarks of Keith's custom builds. The humbucker pickguard holds a push/pull coil tap for the bridge humbucker and the single coil pickguard holds a push/pull for Funk-5 wiring, which independently activates the bridge pickup for two more pickup settings .
