LowDown Custom 6-String - Natural
For your consideration, here's the down-low on the LowDown!
This custom 6-string was built by Chicago luthier Tim Seisser and, according to Tim, it started life as his personal bass. Over time, the original neck developed a crack and had to be replaced. Unfortunately, Tim didn't warm up to the replacement neck and decided to set this bass into the wild, where it was acquired by the current consigner directly from the builder.
As with many of LowDown's builds, the heart and soul of this monster 6-string is the lightweight 2-piece swamp ash body, which is loaded with 2 of Nordstrand's flagship Dual Coil passive pickups, a Hipshot B Bridge, and dual volumes & master tone controls with custom Wenge knobs accented with pearl dots. The aircraft-carrier-width Maple neck is a slightly shorter 33.5" scale and is topped with an exotically striped Monterillo Rosewood Fingerboard with fret markers from the 12th position and up. The headstock. The headstock wears a Wenge overlay with a hand-inlayed crushed stone emblem and is loaded with Hipshot open-gear tuning machines and a ebony nut.
These basses rarely come to market and this bass is priced to sell fast. Expand your journey into the land of bass with the LowDown.
