According to our source at Gibson, this Squareneck Dobro comes from the 1990's, dubbed "The Original Hound Dog" from the Original Musical Instrument company, which was backed by Gibson Corp. And according to our research from the Gruhn's Guide to Vintage Guitars, this instrument tracks as a Hound Dog Model 101. A faithful reproduction of its 1960's-1970's namesake, this working-man's Dobro features a laminate maple top, back, & sides, a maple neck with unstained maple fingerboard, a spider bridge with a Dobro cone, and a slotted headstock for the most classic of vibes. This guitar is in Very-Good-to-Excellent condition, showing signs of moderate use and careful storage. There are some light scuffs on the body and top and some light scuffs on the reverse of the squareneck. The headstock shows some minor chips on the verse face and there are some light scuffs along the edges of the headstock. The tuning machines and resonator cover show some light tarnish from age. This package includes a hard case.
