Seagull S8 Mandolin
For your consideration, we present a uniquely shaped mandolin from our friends up North.
The S8 by Seagull is a modernized take on the classic folk instrument. This mando is not an "F" or "A" style, but is instead a sleek double-cutaway with functional and practical design cues. Seagull provides players with deep heel access to the highest frets on a Rosewood fingerboard with all-maple neck-through-body construction. The carved maple body is additionally beveled and contoured on the reverse for maximum comfort. As set of beautifully flourished open-gear tuners graces the trademark Seagull "snakehead" headstock and seagull appoints this instrument with a full Graphtech compliment at the nut and at that saddle. Seagull has taken care to give this mando extra touches of style to set this instrument apart from the pack, such as a shell-shaped satin-finish tailpiece, peaked triangular moustache-style bridge accents, and a triangular soundhole with a red tortoiseshell pickguard. This mandolin is in excellent condition, showing signs of light use and careful storage. There is one small dent in the edge of the instrument which does not affect structural integrity and is difficult to see unless held to the light, as it blends with the natural grain of the instrument. The pickguard shows signs of light pickwear. This package is complete with original Seagull Gig Bag and original Canadian bill of sale.
